In the 8th minute Virgílio Serpa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Osikowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugeniusz Osikowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Serpa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Torpedo Dabrowa's Eugeniusz Osikowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits Evenhuis in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Torpedo Dabrowa defense, Kostas Sourpis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugeniusz Osikowicz. The FC Torpedo Dabrowa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugeniusz Osikowicz should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute Emilian Ghiorman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Osikowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Frits Evenhuis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugeniusz Osikowicz was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Teófilo Belém came out and tried to block the shot, but Wiktor Cuber slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 37th minute. When Duong Kuster came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the FC Torpedo Dabrowa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duong Kuster couldn't finish the play. MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save MC ESPANHOL from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frits Evenhuis to make the kick off. In the 50th match minute, FC Torpedo Dabrowa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Piglowski to maneuver through the defense. MC ESPANHOL's Frits Evenhuis got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute FC Torpedo Dabrowa were awarded a corner. Fevzi Toralp went to the cornerflag to take it. Adam Dziatkowski charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adam Dziatkowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th match minute, FC Torpedo Dabrowa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Dziatkowski to maneuver through the defense. Eugeniusz Osikowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Ribeiro in the 82nd minute of the match. After 96 minutes, Mauro Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MC ESPANHOL and the FC Torpedo Dabrowa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes MC ESPANHOL got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Nascimento. FC Torpedo Dabrowa's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
