Mattijs Berghmans might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucílio Bentes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mattijs Berghmans ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute Mattijs Berghmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucílio Bentes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Valadas defense, Mattijs Berghmans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucílio Bentes. The Valadas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucílio Bentes should have stopped the shot. Lucílio Bentes was a little too slow when Mattijs Berghmans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 7-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cláudio Candeias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
