The ball had pretty good speed, but François-Xavier Dionnet firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 15th minute of the match FC Jones got a corner. Olympique Salonais's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jyrki Pesonen ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FC Jones's corner Jyrki Pesonen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and François-Xavier Dionnet quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarmo Pasanen got free with François-Xavier Dionnet in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. François-Xavier Dionnet made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Tarmo Pasanen sent off a good shot on target. FC Jones's Mauno Hartikainen got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Jones's Isak Stenquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Song Peng Xi in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Song Peng Xi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isak Stenquist. FC Jones's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Song Peng Xi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Isak Stenquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Song Peng Xi, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Hector Etxepare made the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes FC Jones got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Maria. Isak Stenquist made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Hector Etxepare sent off a good shot on target. Hector Etxepare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Isak Stenquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olympique Salonais made a substitution. Cyrille Desplanches replaced Hilario Chale. Olympique Salonais's Song Peng Xi got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Camillo Della Rocca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but François-Xavier Dionnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Song Peng Xi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, FC Jones's goal looked a bit too open when Song Peng Xi came free, but Isak Stenquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Jones getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Witomir Wieloch hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Jones fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! FC Jones:s Isak Stenquist showed great skill when he stopped Song Peng Xi:s penalty. FC Jones's Jami Kukkonen was substituted for Tatu Vainionpää. Olympique Salonais were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after FC Jones's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Song Peng Xi took the corner. A well done corner resulted in Jean-Christophe Grenard drilling the ball in to score 0-3 behind FC Jones's goalkeeper. Jyrki Pesonen shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Song Peng Xi might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isak Stenquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Song Peng Xi ran back to his position shaking his head. Huang Guo Feng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. François-Xavier Dionnet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Olympique Salonais getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Hector Etxepare hit a great ball. In the 100th minute of the match Jyrki Pesonen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but François-Xavier Dionnet skillfully saved the ball.
