Fábio Pinheiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiaguinho Luz in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Tiaguinho Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. MUSHIBA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafim Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gremio NG's Ciro Oliveira got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Tiaguinho Luz came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the MUSHIBA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiaguinho Luz couldn't finish the play. Tiaguinho Luz struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. MUSHIBA FC's Rômulo Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Travassos in the 70th minute of play. If Raimundo Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gremio NG's zone, Tiaguinho Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Pinheiro came out of the goal and Tiaguinho Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 minutes Gremio NG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Maria Figueiredo who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to MUSHIBA FC's Egídio Custódio getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Severino Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Fábio Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
