Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jari Alenius in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gyula Grósz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vellito Alguerdo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mesterháza's goalkeeper Gyula Grósz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 13 minutes Mesterháza's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Clodoveo Weather who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Clodoveo Weather got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gyula Grósz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Jari Alenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gyula Grósz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jari Alenius in the 39th minute of the match. NAGANO F.C's attentive Thorbjörn Hong managed to snatch the ball when Higinio García made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. The supporters of Mesterháza booed when NAGANO F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jari Alenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to NAGANO F.C getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Diego Beckenbauer hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Sándor Rácz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vellito Alguerdo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
