Telesphore Diamond was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, one of NDG Fury FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for NDG Fury FC. After some careless play in the NDG Fury FC defense, Paulão Bezerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theron Dooley. The NDG Fury FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theron Dooley should have stopped the shot. Chiquinho Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ómar Sharif, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Paulão Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theron Dooley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute Ómar Sharif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theron Dooley came out and tried to block the shot, but Grisha Mbappè slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 46th minute.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grisha Mbappè to strike the kick off in the second half. Chiquinho Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mårten Arenstedt in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Dwayne Ducharme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. LOBO 1908 were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after NDG Fury FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Alberto Sá took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Jurgen Iwens advanced and headed the ball into goal, 5-0 in the 61st minute. LOBO 1908's Ernani Montenegro was substituted for Grisha Mbappè. In the 65th minute, Ezequiel Richie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Montenegro scored 6-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Theron Dooley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Theron Dooley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurgen Iwens, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by NDG Fury FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Alberto Sá was slow to take the kick. During this time LOBO 1908's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Jurgen Iwens heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Theron Dooley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Montenegro in the 77th minute of the match. Theron Dooley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani Montenegro in the 83rd minute of play. If Mårten Arenstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in NDG Fury FC's zone, Jurgen Iwens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theron Dooley came out of the goal and Jurgen Iwens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Mårten Arenstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jurgen Iwens kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Theron Dooley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernani Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the NDG Fury FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for LOBO 1908.
