The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bittor Leyva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Hyatt having to interfere. ACC Mavericks's Bob Hyatt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save ACC Mavericks from getting a goal against them. Bob Hyatt made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Bittor Leyva sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Göksun Uçanay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bob Hyatt. ACC Mavericks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göksun Uçanay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 25th minute Göksun Uçanay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Hyatt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by ACC Mavericks's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bittor Leyva was slow to take the kick. During this time Navigators's players had a chance to rest. In the 27th minute, Navigators's Hakan Işık ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bob Hyatt. Bob Hyatt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The corner led Navigators's Zeynel Üke to fire away a dangerous shot which Bob Hyatt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Navigators's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bittor Leyva in the 32nd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Yu Ke Hui heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Steve Van Clynenbreugel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Bülent Akbatu having to interfere. Bob Hyatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wit Lampa in the 39th minute of play. Navigators's Yavuz Bülent Akbatu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nerio Lopez de Toro in the 41st minute of play. Bob Hyatt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yu Ke Hui in the 43rd minute. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nerio Lopez de Toro, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bob Hyatt came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Navigators's Wit Lampa. But to his dismay, Wit Lampa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Navigators's Kostas Kelaidonis was substituted for Bittor Leyva. Navigators made a substitution. Atacan Erdemli replaced Zeynel Üke. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nerio Lopez de Toro in the 70th minute. Bob Hyatt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wit Lampa, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 77th minute of the match Güralp Okanay shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bob Hyatt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Wit Lampa put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bob Hyatt. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nerio Lopez de Toro got free with Yavuz Bülent Akbatu in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Navigators had won after a very even match.
