Laurgain Companys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ludomir Sala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Leon Paris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Arantes in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Mellanström's goal looked a bit too open when Laurgain Companys came free, but Ludomir Sala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mellanström booed when Los Perro Sanxe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurgain Companys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludomir Sala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurgain Companys in the 76th minute. Ludomir Sala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pudes Balboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mellanström's Ludomir Sala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Mellanström from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Mellanström defense, Mário Franco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ludomir Sala. The Mellanström fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ludomir Sala should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellanström's goalkeeper Ludomir Sala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Los Perro Sanxe had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
