Adrian Braithwaite made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Garaile Vigalondo immediately put the ball in play. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Cesare Tristezza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cesare Tristezza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konrad Wielkopolski in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Cui Jian Guo made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's goal looked a bit too open when Cui Jian Guo came free, but Cesare Tristezza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's goalkeeper Cesare Tristezza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Konrad Wielkopolski spun around in front of the goal 55 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's goal. Xurxo Lagala replaced Cui Jian Guo. The supporters of C.C. Ortigia Siracusa booed when Canteranos Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position.
