In the 2nd minute, Conrado Tebaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermegildo Leocadio got free with Mansur Cihansah in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Casimiro Arixo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes MEXICO got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Qwinton. MEXICO's Mansur Cihansah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save MEXICO from getting a goal against them. Breno Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Rosio in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Honorato Gaitan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Breno Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, MEXICO's goalkeeper Mansur Cihansah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Arixo. Scotland 1873's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonel Gonzo in the 33rd minute. After 34 minutes MEXICO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leonel Gonzo who took care of the corner kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mansur Cihansah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Leocadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to MEXICO getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Victorino Berbiz hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Leonel Gonzo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mansur Cihansah skillfully saved the ball. Mansur Cihansah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimiro Arixo in the 56th minute of the match. Breno Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Eladio, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Ermegildo Leocadio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mansur Cihansah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Eladio in the 62nd minute of the match. Scotland 1873 made a substitution. Bradley McNuyer replaced Ramiro Funes-Mori. After 65th play minutes Gaston Rosio shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Breno Bastos and just under the crossbar into goal. If Honorato Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Breno Bastos came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by MEXICO's Gaston Rosio. But to his dismay, Gaston Rosio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Breno Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Rosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Leocadio notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of MEXICO's Mansur Cihansah. Mansur Cihansah was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The corner led MEXICO's Honorato Gaitan to fire away a dangerous shot which Breno Bastos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
