The crowd rose to their feet as Amancio Medero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodrigo Magurs. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrei Vasiliu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raí Seco saved GAÚCHO FC from getting behind. The supporters of GAÚCHO FC booed when INTERNACIONAL DE MURAROA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaclovas Auga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Niceto Etor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raí Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Vasiliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Amancio Medero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Magurs having to make a save. In the 44th match minute, GAÚCHO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Terra to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
