After 35 minutes, Gennadiy Tytarchuk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventus FC and the Wolves players grew even worse after the yellow card. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 55 minutes, Juninho Pernambucano made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Wolves's Bartolo Fernendo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute, Juninho Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raşit Savaş in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olexiy Stus saved Juventus FC from getting behind. If Massimo D'Angelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olexiy Stus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Massimo D'Angelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
