With a couple of smart ball manuevers Holger Zachrisson in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Odion Tao saved Melchester Rovers from getting behind. When Holger Zachrisson came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Portuguesa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Holger Zachrisson couldn't finish the play. Jorginho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Sandwall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Sandwall came free, but Jorginho Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorginho Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from A.J. 太史慈 in the 10th minute of play. After 11 minutes Portuguesa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roger Sandwall who took care of the corner kick. Melchester Rovers's Hannes Odén was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorginho Vaz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Melchester Rovers were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Portuguesa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roger Sandwall took the corner. A.J. 太史慈 made a great header on Melchester Rovers's corner, it was just that Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 14thth minute of the game 任浩默 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Melchester Rovers's Odion Tao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Odion Tao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holger Zachrisson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by A.J. 太史慈 in the 35th minute of play forced Portuguesa's goalkeeper Jorginho Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Brian Strömberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
