The supporters of BORUSSIA DORTMUND booed when Bierunese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Lever didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, William Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. BORUSSIA DORTMUND's supporters rose to their feet, but William Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Werner Kamps breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Vogel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Géza Fodor in the 15th minute of play. Werner Kamps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alaaddin Haabegaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Werner Kamps came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by BORUSSIA DORTMUND's Alaaddin Haabegaard. But to his dismay, Alaaddin Haabegaard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rein Stroeve made in the 23rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bennie Zandstra. Joélson Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Marco Vogel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Arnolds's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Demy Wansink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Marco Vogel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Bierunese fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Bierunese's Kevin Arnolds looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marco Vogel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Arnolds in the 34th minute. Géza Fodor's late challenge caught a BORUSSIA DORTMUND's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Géza Fodor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Bierunese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Géza Fodor to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the game, Kevin Arnolds lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Marco Vogel. In the 42ndth minute of the game Alaaddin Haabegaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bierunese's Werner Kamps was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Kevin Arnolds made the kick off in the second half. Joélson Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Marco Vogel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Arnolds in the 53rd minute of the match. Demy Wansink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 孔松翔 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Werner Kamps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孔松翔, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Bierunese's Werner Kamps proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Bierunese from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 孔松翔 in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Werner Kamps saved Bierunese from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alaaddin Haabegaard got free with Werner Kamps in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 74 minutes Bierunese's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was William Paes who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Bierunese getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Hans Zoetebier hit a great ball. 孔松翔 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, BORUSSIA DORTMUND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Santos to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that 孔松翔's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Werner Kamps was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, BORUSSIA DORTMUND's Alaaddin Haabegaard got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 90 played minutes BORUSSIA DORTMUND got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Sanches. In the 92nd minute of the match, 孔松翔 tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Werner Kamps saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marco Vogel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Géza Fodor, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Bierunese players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
