After taking down the ball on Skarpa Ełk's corner Wojciech Tepper fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rafael Ramos quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javier Castillo in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ken Kot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rodion Cămătaru came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Skarpa Ełk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodion Cămătaru couldn't finish the play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quilino Gomar to make the kick off.
