Jacob Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Marcelo Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

But to his dismay, Jacob Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Acácio Mello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pierluigi Buffon came out and tried to block the shot, but Acácio Mello slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kacper Solarek got free with Pierluigi Buffon in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
