The corner ended in Kip William almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nyrup's Jørg Wettergren did a great save. In the 35th minute La Acade were awarded a corner. La Acade's Natã de Medeiros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jørg Wettergren in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jørg Wettergren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kip William in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Kip William had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jørg Wettergren. Nyrup's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kip William was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. La Acade's Blas Aritza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Scherer in the 41st minute of play. Kip William blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jørg Wettergren having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kip William to make the kick off.
