Victor Schleck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Brion in the 10th minute of play. Van Der Ley FC's Victor Schleck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asiz Soon in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Van Der Ley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Brion came free, but Victor Schleck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Asiz Soon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roland Delbridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Guillou, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Roland Delbridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Guillou in the 26th minute of play. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Schleck having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Guillou in the 35th minute of play forced Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Roland Delbridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Van Der Ley FC's Victor Schleck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asiz Soon in the 38th minute of play. The Van Der Ley FC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Van Der Ley FC's Peter Guillou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Simon Backer charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Backer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Van Der Ley FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Simon Backer hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the game, Cristian Urtzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Victor Schleck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Marco Maurino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl Happe shot from long distance in the 46th minute, but Roland Delbridge was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 47th minute, Asiz Soon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Muchachos del 86 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Peter Guillou made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Asiz Soon in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Schleck saved Van Der Ley FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Los Muchachos del 86 defense, Siegfried Brötzmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roland Delbridge. The Los Muchachos del 86 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roland Delbridge should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute Siegfried Brötzmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Delbridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Peter Guillou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Van Der Ley FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Guillou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Delbridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute Peter Guillou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Delbridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Victor Schleck to make any attempt to save it.
