The audience was convinced that Lesardo Moreno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Tinoco was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute of the match La Plaza FC got a corner. Marialva S.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Elorri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gică Drumeș in the 26th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Gică Drumeș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marialva S.C. and the La Plaza FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gică Drumeș kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Marialva S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lesardo Moreno came free, but Fernando Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Lencastre tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Fernando Tinoco. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 31st minute. Fernando Tinoco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lesardo Moreno went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Marialva S.C.'s Fernando Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lesardo Moreno in the 37th minute of play. Lesardo Moreno struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Fernando Tinoco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Plaza FC. La Plaza FC's Orlando Elorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Sarabia in the 42nd minute of play. Fernando Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lesardo Moreno in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gică Drumeș made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Lesardo Moreno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Tinoco. Marialva S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lesardo Moreno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After a rather tough play, La Plaza FC's Fernando Raymond got a free kick in the 54th minute. La Plaza FC made a substitution. Claudio Lehior replaced Astor Curcio. Lesardo Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 64 minutes into the game, La Plaza FC's Lesardo Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Tinoco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. 69 minutes into the match, Lesardo Moreno notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Marialva S.C.'s Fernando Tinoco. Fernando Tinoco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. La Plaza FC made a substitution. Fernando Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Eder in the 83rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, La Plaza FC's Fernando Tinoco threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tiburcio Eder, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The corner led La Plaza FC's David Gonsalvo to fire away a dangerous shot which Fernando Tinoco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 90th match minute, Marialva S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armindo Gueifão to maneuver through the defense.
