The tension between the Defensores de Lombroso and the Henley on Thames United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Jonathan Raphael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofilo Esdras had several of the Henley on Thames United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Sofoklis Prinianakis as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 21st minute Carl Houghton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Paulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Wright in the 22nd minute of the match. Sofoklis Prinianakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Riquelme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Lombroso's Jonathan Raphael got a free kick in the 25th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames United's goalkeeper Sofoklis Prinianakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Gau. Denis Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Iovanovici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfredo Gau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sofoklis Prinianakis made a huge save. The supporters of Henley on Thames United booed when Defensores de Lombroso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Houghton in the 37th minute of play. Teofilo Esdras hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Henley on Thames United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Grant Sherwood in the 45th minute. After taking down the ball on Henley on Thames United's corner Edgar Iovanovici fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Denis Paulin quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Iovanovici in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Paulin saved Defensores de Lombroso from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Uriel Ferrer made a kick off. Godfredo Gau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sofoklis Prinianakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. When Xanti Lastras fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Henley on Thames United's protests and gave Xanti Lastras a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Henley on Thames United getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Xanti Lastras hit a great ball. Sofoklis Prinianakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Riquelme in the 55th minute of the match. When Carl Houghton came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Henley on Thames United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Houghton couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Henley on Thames United booed when Defensores de Lombroso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sofoklis Prinianakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Riquelme, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Lombroso from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames United's goal looked a bit too open when Elian Müller came free, but Sofoklis Prinianakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Paulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Houghton, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Defensores de Lombroso's Elian Müller in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Henley on Thames United's goalie prevented a goal. Defensores de Lombroso made a substitution. Lucio Cordarrol replaced Jonathan Raphael. Defensores de Lombroso's Amadeo Raebert was substituted for Federico Pirro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Gau in the 94th minute of play forced Henley on Thames United's goalkeeper Sofoklis Prinianakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Defensores de Lombroso's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
