The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Westenenk. 31 minutes into the match, Westenenk's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Precioso came free, but Jaap van der Schans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Romeo Precioso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jaap van der Schans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romeo Precioso might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaap van der Schans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeo Precioso ran back to his position shaking his head. Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Precioso in the 37th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Al Hueso FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
