But to his dismay, Jorge Ler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Jorge Ler's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wawrzyniec Walicki firmly grabbed it by the left post. With his leg Wawrzyniec Walicki managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Catarinense F.C.'s Brown 黄忠 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ciro Quilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Walicki having to interfere. Thomas Bjørgum took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauricio Luke. Mauricio Luke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Ciro Quilo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wawrzyniec Walicki came out and tried to block the shot, but Ciro Quilo slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 39th minute. Ciro Quilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Walicki having to interfere. Mauricio Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pelle Hvidegaard in the 43rd minute of the match. One of Esbjerg fB:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Catarinense F.C.:s goal. Catarinense F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Catarinense F.C. had won after a very even match.
