Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Santiago Cañizares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nueva Chicago's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Torino FC had won, even though Nueva Chicago had held more of the ball.
