With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lilko Timov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute Leopoldo Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lilko Timov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dido Vanev came free, but Karl Pilgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Alagoano got free with Lilko Timov in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leopoldo Perez had several of the VN SOKOLI-VARNA's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 31 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Lilko Timov as he didn't even see the shot coming. Karl Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ren Fan Yu in the 34th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Avram Octavian came free, but Karl Pilgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avram Octavian in the 41st minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Pilgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dido Vanev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Lilko Timov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Perez in the 43rd minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Aníbal Alagoano lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Lilko Timov. Aníbal Alagoano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lilko Timov came out and tried to block the shot, but Aníbal Alagoano slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dido Vanev to make the kick off. Lilko Timov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Perez in the 55th minute of the match. Karl Pilgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ren Fan Yu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Benet Rano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl Pilgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by VN SOKOLI-VARNA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guga Tavares was slow to take the kick. During this time Jenipapo SC's players had a chance to rest. Aníbal Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aníbal Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of VN SOKOLI-VARNA booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arcan Siralp kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Karl Pilgren made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Milen Godzhev sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 79 minutes Jenipapo SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Milen Godzhev who took care of the corner kick. The corner led VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Milen Godzhev to fire away a dangerous shot which Karl Pilgren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 79th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Karl Pilgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benet Rano, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jenipapo SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! Karl Pilgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dido Vanev in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90thth minute of the game Leopoldo Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Lilko Timov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl Pilgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benet Rano, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Haroldo Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lilko Timov having to interfere. Karl Pilgren made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Ren Fan Yu sent off a good shot on target. When Zé Carlos Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Jenipapo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Monteiro couldn't finish the play. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
