Sérgio Viegas came out of the goal and Jose-Antonio Vazquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Jose-Antonio Vazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Viegas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 48th minute of the match Gonzalo Boye shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sérgio Viegas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogério Vigário to strike the kick off in the second half. Sérgio Viegas came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Neal Messer. But to his dismay, Neal Messer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 56 played minutes Sport Açores e Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Lucena. Jorge Lucena hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Sérgio Viegas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neal Messer went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 63 minutes in the game Jorge Lucena did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Horácio Boaventura. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neal Messer in the 65th minute of play forced Sport Açores e Benfica's goalkeeper Sérgio Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neal Messer struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Sérgio Viegas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA. Neal Messer might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sérgio Viegas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neal Messer ran back to his position shaking his head. Neal Messer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Viegas having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Neal Messer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sérgio Viegas was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Neal Messer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Joan Puig was substituted for Antoni Villarroel. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's attentive Joan Puig managed to snatch the ball when Jorge Lucena made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Neal Messer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Viegas having to make a save. 88 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Neal Messer fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 90 minutes into the game, Neal Messer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Sérgio Viegas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. AMERICAN BARÇA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
