In the 47th match minute, Gatinhos Comunistas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Domingues to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as ramones futbolClub's Leandro Txatxu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adrian Nunes. That made the score 2-1 after 48 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Secco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adrian Nunes came out of the goal and Fermin Truylos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Candido Aritza was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 90 minutes into the match. ramones futbolClub succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Gatinhos Comunistas had controlled the match.
