Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chen Ao Fan in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Weverton Everson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ribeiro Sales FC's Claudinho Barros in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skövde AIK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 11th minute Claudinho Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Norström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Barros in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl-Erik Norström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 19 minutes into the match, Ribeiro Sales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Georg Norström came free, but Weverton Everson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Chen Ao Fan sped through Ribeiro Sales FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Weverton Everson. Weverton Everson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 29th minute, Chen Ao Fan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skövde AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Weverton Everson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Barros in the 33rd minute of play. Karl-Erik Norström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Skövde AIK's Karl-Erik Norström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Barros in the 36th minute of play. Knut Rudberg scored 0-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Weverton Everson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Knut Rudberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Asmadi Subagio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Erik Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Bueno in the 54th minute of play. Weverton Everson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Keegan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Barros in the 64th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Erik Norström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Barros in the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Chen Ao Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weverton Everson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Walery Dobrowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Krister Uggstedt got a free kick in the 74th minute. Weverton Everson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 89 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Fernandez. After having played for 90 minutes, Walery Dobrowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribeiro Sales FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walery Dobrowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute of the match, Jerry Williams got a very nice opportunity to score, but Weverton Everson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Skövde AIK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
