An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Bedes in the 18th minute of play forced Milan's goalkeeper Sune Mur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milan's Tomas Strömbom managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Karim Bahari in the 19 minute of the game. Milan's Sune Mur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Milan from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Salmiyah Power's Sergio Bedes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sune Mur. Boncho Vlúchkov came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Milan's Joélson Van Landschoot. But to his dismay, Joélson Van Landschoot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 46th minute Dawid Kochowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sune Mur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Salmiyah Power players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Milan were winning 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doctor Quinn to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kacper Koperski in the 53rd minute of play forced Milan's goalkeeper Sune Mur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
