Teodoro Mantilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Qvarnström, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Teodoro Mantilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Qvarnström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SMARTS FC's zone, Mino Raiola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Mantilla came out of the goal and Mino Raiola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute of the match, Cayetano Joanes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bertil Kilström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bertil Kilström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cayetano Joanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Adam Qvarnström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA VIOLA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Qvarnström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodoro Mantilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sören Eliasson in the 31st minute of the match. Denis Ostargi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. SMARTS FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. SMARTS FC were furious when Florencio Rosalio was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 47th match minute, SMARTS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Rosalio to maneuver through the defense. After 48 played minutes, LA VIOLA's Jens-Ove Abrahamsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodoro Mantilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LA VIOLA reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Svante Bäckman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Mantilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Sören Eliasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA VIOLA's supporters rose to their feet, but Sören Eliasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Mantilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cayetano Joanes in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertil Kilström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bertil Kilström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cayetano Joanes's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Denis Ostargi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bertil Kilström. LA VIOLA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Ostargi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 64 played minutes SMARTS FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Lluciano. In the 65th minute, Jens-Ove Abrahamsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SMARTS FC's Teodoro Mantilla didn't even have to move. Bertil Kilström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Llin in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of SMARTS FC booed when LA VIOLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sören Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Joanes came free, but Bertil Kilström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cayetano Joanes in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bertil Kilström saved LA VIOLA from getting behind. Teodoro Mantilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svante Bäckman in the 80th minute. Bertil Kilström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Llin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SMARTS FC booed when LA VIOLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sören Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute of the match Eustacio Aureo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bertil Kilström skillfully saved the ball. Denis Ostargi struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Bertil Kilström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SMARTS FC. After 95 minutes LA VIOLA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eustacio Aureo who took care of the corner kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SMARTS FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while LA VIOLA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
