Ferenc Puskás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Manole Nedelcea made a huge save. In the 15th minute, Claudiu Alucusan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manole Nedelcea made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Ferenc Puskás sent off a good shot on target. Manole Nedelcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Cînu in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Peteni FC's zone, Horaţiu Cînu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manole Nedelcea came out of the goal and Horaţiu Cînu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peteni FC's Manole Nedelcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Cînu in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, Peteni FC's Manole Nedelcea got control of the ball when Ferenc Puskás tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manole Nedelcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Beligan in the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Peteni FC booed when RomanianPower was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yaşar Sümer didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudiu Alucusan was the one to do the kick off. Manole Nedelcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Cînu in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Sorin Beligan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manole Nedelcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iustin Cândroveanu charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But to his dismay, Horaţiu Cînu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Manole Nedelcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Baniu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Manole Nedelcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferenc Puskás in the 89th minute of the match. After 94 minutes, Vladko Glogov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RomanianPower and the Peteni FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manole Nedelcea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. RomanianPower's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
