Szajk LC were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Pogoń Szczecin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zénó Polgár took the corner. Zénó Polgár made a great header on Szajk LC's corner, it was just that Pogoń Szczecin's Marian Kajfasz managed to reach the ball for a save. After 10 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Drapinski. When Zénó Polgár came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Szajk LC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zénó Polgár couldn't finish the play. András Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasyl Dombroski in the 12th minute of play. Marian Kajfasz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levente Makkai in the 14th minute of play. Marian Kajfasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levente Makkai in the 15th minute of the match. Marian Kajfasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Csongor Csorba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marian Kajfasz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Levente Makkai, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 30th minute, Levente Makkai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teobald Borczak made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ryszard Bykowski however managed to control. 33 minutes into the match, Szajk LC's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Bykowski came free, but András Horváth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Árpád Konkoly kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Ryszard Bykowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without András Horváth having to make a save. In the 39th minute Wasyl Dombroski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but András Horváth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Árpád Konkoly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Csongor Csorba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th match minute, Szajk LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zsolt Nagy to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Csongor Csorba made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Csongor Csorba notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pogoń Szczecin's Marian Kajfasz. Marian Kajfasz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marian Kajfasz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Levente Makkai went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Pogoń Szczecin's Marian Kajfasz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Pogoń Szczecin from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Csongor Csorba got free with Marian Kajfasz in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marian Kajfasz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Levente Makkai went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Szajk LC's Tibor Bósa was substituted for Gergely Takács. Szajk LC's András Horváth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucjan Domeradzki in the 82nd minute of play. Teobald Borczak made in the 96th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Szajk LC's Tibor Bósa. 97 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goalkeeper Marian Kajfasz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Levente Makkai. The Szajk LC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Szajk LC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
