The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lautaro Martines to make the kick off. In the 67th minute Harris Geraets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Lucchetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Gomez kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Rosario Central's Elias Roldan was substituted for Lautaro Martines. After a rather tough play, Real Cartagena's Gustavo Gomez got a free kick in the 69th minute. Real Cartagena's Edwin Devine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Roldan in the 70th minute of play. Elias Roldan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Edwin Devine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rosario Central were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Real Cartagena's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. İlyas Özkılıc took the corner. With a little luck, Real Cartagena's Edwin Devine got control of the ball when Igor Silvino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Elias Roldan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rosario Central's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
