Domingo Hartz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Erwin Huygens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Augusto Cordario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Cordario in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonzo Cordarin saved Crosmayo FC from getting behind. In the 38th minute of the match, Ildefonso Quinteros tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Erwin Huygens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Augusto Cordario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez Sarsfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Cordario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonzo Cordarin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnaldo Inocente hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes, Velez Sarsfield's Sun Zhi Zhen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alonzo Cordarin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Velez Sarsfield reached it. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teofil Gierlach was the one to do the kick off. If Ronan Mistral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alonzo Cordarin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Cordario went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Crosmayo FC's Alonzo Cordarin got control of the ball when Augusto Cordario tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Ago Tramp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velez Sarsfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crosmayo FC the free kick. Ago Tramp kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Velez Sarsfield's Raul Argoitz was substituted for Marcos Pacifico. Velez Sarsfield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronan Mistral in the 71st minute. The corner led Velez Sarsfield's Ronan Mistral to fire away a dangerous shot which Alonzo Cordarin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Augusto Cordario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Alonzo Cordarin made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, Crosmayo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cordario came free, but Alonzo Cordarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Crosmayo FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Velez Sarsfield to win.
