He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chapadao Rs reached it. Rodriguinho Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. A hard shot 14 in the game by Elói Borges from a close distance when the talented Diguinho Vaz managed to make a qualified save. Chapadao Rs's players were relieved. 18 minutes into the game, Chapadao Rs's Falcão de Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Catalino Canto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Elói Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Diguinho Vaz made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Chapadao Rs's Giovani Mendonça sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Catalino Canto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute of the match Chapadao Rs got a corner. Feminista MZC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro de Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Feminista MZC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Elói Borges hit a great ball. Catalino Canto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Mendonça in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giovani Mendonça in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Catalino Canto saved Feminista MZC from getting behind. In the 34thth minute of the game Giovani Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Feminista MZC's Catalino Canto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Feminista MZC booed when Chapadao Rs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Afonso Meireles from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Diguinho Vaz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Giovani Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Catalino Canto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diguinho Vaz made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Aras Görkem Ulgu sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Chapadao Rs booed when Feminista MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Faustino might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Catalino Canto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Faustino ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giovani Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Diguinho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feminista MZC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Afonso Meireles in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute, Elói Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diguinho Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Borges in the 60th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Giovani Mendonça kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Catalino Canto. That made the score 0-2 in the 66 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Falcão de Andrade got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 71st minute Elói Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Feminista MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão de Andrade came free, but Catalino Canto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elói Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Feminista MZC fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Feminista MZC's Elói Borges looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elói Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Feminista MZC's goalkeeper Catalino Canto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro de Toledo. In the 88th minute Elói Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diguinho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Feminista MZC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Elivélton Carvalho hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chapadao Rs eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
