After 21 minutes of play Criciúma's Lucio Cebada was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of AC BUBAMARA booed when Criciúma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Cebada didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Rešad Vladanović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José de Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Tiso in the 28th minute of play forced Criciúma's goalkeeper José de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Tiso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but José de Brito made a huge save. José de Brito was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Mujo Vladanović capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mujo Vladanović really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. A collision led to Criciúma getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Betão Oliveira hit a great ball. Criciúma's José de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Criciúma from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Criciúma's José de Brito got control of the ball when Edgardo Tiso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgardo Tiso was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Edgardo Tiso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Criciúma's goal looked a bit too open when Mujo Vladanović came free, but José de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José de Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgardo Tiso went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. José de Brito came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by AC BUBAMARA's Edgardo Tiso. But to his dismay, Edgardo Tiso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. José de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Hakić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Criciúma's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Didi Almeida in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute Oliver Petranović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Criciúma's José de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Tiso in the 79th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, AC BUBAMARA's Edgardo Tiso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José de Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0.
