After a rather tough play, Haga Boys's Astrit Selmani got a free kick in the 7th minute. Rolf Van den Hoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Fernandez in the 8th minute of the match. Rolf Van den Hoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni Zalon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernest Froněk hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. With his leg Rolf Van den Hoff managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Ruquense FC's Remigio Quirze fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Apollo Creed kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Romulo Gelacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Froněk in the 27th minute of play. Rolf Van den Hoff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remigio Quirze in the 29th minute. Remigio Quirze blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolf Van den Hoff having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apollo Creed in the 43rd minute of play forced Ruquense FC's goalkeeper Romulo Gelacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dušan Vlahović stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Basilio Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Apollo Creed got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Quirze in the 57th minute of play forced Haga Boys's goalkeeper Rolf Van den Hoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apollo Creed who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Romulo Gelacio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The corner led Haga Boys's Wilhelm Rang to fire away a dangerous shot which Romulo Gelacio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Apollo Creed's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Romulo Gelacio firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 71st match minute, Haga Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Froněk to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Apollo Creed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romulo Gelacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Tonio hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Romulo Gelacio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Basilio Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apollo Creed's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Romulo Gelacio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Ruquense FC booed when Haga Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dušan Vlahović didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Zalon in the 89th minute of play forced Haga Boys's goalkeeper Rolf Van den Hoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remigio Quirze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Van den Hoff having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
