An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Carlomagno in the 14th minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Thommy Jadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Maradona got free with Arne Pååk in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th match minute, Club Pueyrredón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vito de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Mário Maradona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arne Pååk, 3-0. 30 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Carlomagno came free, but Thommy Jadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Victor Hanot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Ivan Maureo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thommy Jadis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário Maradona made a kick off. After some careless play in the Club Pueyrredón defense, Mário Maradona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Pååk. The Club Pueyrredón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Pååk should have stopped the shot. Arne Pååk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Maradona in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Pueyrredón getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Victor Hanot hit a great ball. Victor Hanot made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vito de Amorim. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. MINEIROS were victorious despite being under pressure from Club Pueyrredón for much of the match.
