In the 3rd minute Edson Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michal Wolniewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nueva Caledonia's goalkeeper Michal Wolniewicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felicio EC's Carlos Augusto Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venceslao Basagoitia in the 10th minute of play. Javier Hernandez came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carlos Augusto Peres could save by the left post. Nueva Caledonia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Clarence Sarigumba in the 19th minute. A nice corner shot did that Clarence Sarigumba got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlos Augusto Peres quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 20th minute Javier Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Augusto Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Hernandez in the 20th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venceslao Basagoitia in the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Felicio EC got a freekick which was hit by Dino Munhoz. Michal Wolniewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Inácio de Medeiros notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Nueva Caledonia's Michal Wolniewicz. Michal Wolniewicz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felicio EC's Carlos Augusto Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Hernandez in the 37th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bentong Macapugay, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, Venceslao Basagoitia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nueva Caledonia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 43 minutes into the match, Nueva Caledonia's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Simões came free, but Michal Wolniewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Augusto Peres was a little too slow when Javier Hernandez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Javier Hernandez to make the kick off. Carlos Augusto Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Hernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Felicio EC's goal looked a bit too open when Venceslao Basagoitia came free, but Carlos Augusto Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Felicio EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Venceslao Basagoitia put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Augusto Peres. Carlos Augusto Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Javier Hernandez went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. After 66 minutes of play, Nueva Caledonia's Venceslao Basagoitia made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Augusto Peres was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javier Hernandez in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Augusto Peres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Augusto Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bentong Macapugay, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Hernandez in the 78th minute of play forced Felicio EC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Tomé Brodel made a precise shot to the right of Michal Wolniewicz. Nueva Caledonia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. 84 minutes into the game, Nueva Caledonia's Javier Hernandez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Augusto Peres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-2. Carlos Augusto Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Hernandez in the 91st minute of play. Carlos Augusto Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Hernandez in the 94th minute of the match. Felicio EC were furious when Gláuber Sabóia was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Felicio EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! When the referee ended the match the Nueva Caledonia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
