Hungary's Ferenc Tököli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Niculae Ailenei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tivadar Demeter's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Răzvan Ioanițiu came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ferenc Tököli could save by the left post. Hungary's Ferenc Tököli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Serginho Ramos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ferenc Tököli. The goal made the score 1-1. Ákos Auer hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Ferenc Tököli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Mălăele in the 45th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Răzvan Ioanițiu got free with Ferenc Tököli in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tivadar Demeter was the one to do the kick off. Gigi Joanță made in the 50th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hungary's Milán Seres. Richárd Nyilasi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Niculae Ailenei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of László Gácsi's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mátyás Zakariás in the 77th minute. The corner led to Hungary's Zsolt Székely getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Răzvan Ioanițiu made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hungary's Kálmán Pádár.
