After a rather tough play, Sportivo Luan Toro's Mauricio Lore got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Robert Davison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Otterlei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute of the match Sportivo Luan Toro got a corner. La Cosa Nostra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guaberto Bento ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jo Barone almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but La Cosa Nostra's Joel Delfino did a great save. Joel Delfino made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Olli Fiedler sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the game, Benjamin Rafel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Cosa Nostra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo Luan Toro the free kick. Benjamin Rafel hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Robert Davison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Hodge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Joel Delfino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sirius Black. 42 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Fidencio came free, but Joel Delfino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sirius Black fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Delfino having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martins Palermo got free with Joel Delfino in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Joel Delfino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martins Palermo in the 56th minute of the match. Joel Delfino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Fidencio in the 66th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martins Palermo in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Delfino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sportivo Luan Toro made a substitution. Justino Roland replaced Alberto Fidencio. La Cosa Nostra's Bartolo Nesor was substituted for Arnaldo Perpinya. La Cosa Nostra's Marciano Bizen was substituted for Hans Otterlei. A throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game was made by Sergius Ramus with Martins Palermo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 73 played minutes La Cosa Nostra got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Martxel. In the 77th match minute, La Cosa Nostra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Martxel to maneuver through the defense. Robert Davison made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tytus Lepper in the 88th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Sportivo Luan Toro's Martins Palermo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Delfino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Martins Palermo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of La Cosa Nostra's Joel Delfino. Joel Delfino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle went the supporters of La Cosa Nostra were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Sportivo Luan Toro side.
