After 2 played minutes Rätan IF got a freekick which was hit by Ian Alegren. After 7 played minutes Leeds United FC got a freekick which was hit by Sture Tolsson. The supporters of Rätan IF booed when Leeds United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Larsfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute of the match Peter Säv sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Otto Kielstedt skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Leeds United FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Roy Jakobsson hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Ian Alegren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otto Kielstedt. Leeds United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ian Alegren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Rätan IF's goalkeeper Kurt Andreasson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Säv in the 21st minute of play forced Leeds United FC's goalkeeper Otto Kielstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Leeds United FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Otto Kielstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Säv, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute, Allan Odin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kurt Andreasson, passed just outside the right post. After 37 played minutes, Rätan IF's Kristoffer Snäll shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Otto Kielstedt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rätan IF reached it. In the 43rd minute, Peter Säv ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Otto Kielstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Fedor Del Campo fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rätan IF's protests and gave Fedor Del Campo a yellow card for diving instead. Fedor Del Campo kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter Säv stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Otto Kielstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Säv, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Leeds United FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rätan IF:s goal. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Otto Kielstedt. When Göran Björkdal fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rätan IF's protests and gave Göran Björkdal a yellow card for diving instead. Göran Björkdal hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Rätan IF's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Odin came free, but Kurt Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leeds United FC's Otto Kielstedt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Leeds United FC from getting a goal against them. When Sture Tolsson fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leeds United FC's protests and gave Sture Tolsson a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roy Jakobsson during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Säv in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otto Kielstedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Peter Säv kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Otto Kielstedt. That made the score 0-4 in the 78 minute of play. Otto Kielstedt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kristoffer Snäll in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Säv in the 86th minute of play forced Leeds United FC's goalkeeper Otto Kielstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute of the match, Peter Säv got a very nice opportunity to score, but Otto Kielstedt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 96th minute Ian Alegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Kielstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rätan IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
