Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elder do Valle kicked off to start the match. If Harry Askstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Askstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kristian Överman lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 7th minute, one of Manchester United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Manchester United. The referee gave Brandbergen Bears a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Harry Askstedt, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Manchester United's Sverker Hammarberg. 0-1. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Carl Isaksson sped through Manchester United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sverker Hammarberg. In the 14th minute, Wilhelm Sjöberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenneth Persson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Manchester United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 21st minute, Erland Kjellkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 played minutes Brandbergen Bears got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Sikström. Christian Ahlroht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Gallin having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Brandbergen Bears's goal looked a bit too open when Rolf Kihlberg came free, but Patrick Gallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sverker Hammarberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erland Kjellkvist's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Sverker Hammarberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Isaksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mevlüt Özal in the 40th minute of play forced Brandbergen Bears's goalkeeper Patrick Gallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Erland Kjellkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Hammarberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brandbergen Bears were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Manchester United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Harry Askstedt took the corner. After taking down the ball on Brandbergen Bears's corner Harry Askstedt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sverker Hammarberg quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Brandbergen Bears's Patrick Gallin got control of the ball when Christian Ahlroht tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sverker Hammarberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erland Kjellkvist in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Brandbergen Bears were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carl Isaksson made a kick off. Birger Pilgren kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Christian Ahlroht managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Ahlroht was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Brandbergen Bears's Erland Kjellkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sverker Hammarberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Mevlüt Özal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes Brandbergen Bears got a freekick which was hit by Birger Pilgren. After 63 played minutes, Manchester United's Bozhidar Stiptzarov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Patrick Gallin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manchester United reached it. When Birger Pilgren was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. In the 66th minute, Birger Pilgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mevlüt Özal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Patrick Gallin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erland Kjellkvist struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Sverker Hammarberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brandbergen Bears. Sverker Hammarberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erland Kjellkvist in the 74th minute. When Christian Ahlroht came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Manchester United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Ahlroht couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Harry Askstedt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 86th minute, Erland Kjellkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brandbergen Bears fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Viktor Sikström's late challenge caught a Manchester United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viktor Sikström helped the player get up and apologised. Viktor Sikström hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Manchester United's Sverker Hammarberg got control of the ball when Erland Kjellkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Brandbergen Bears supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brandbergen Bears would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
