Dacian Oravițan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Bacalbașa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nichifor Codruț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But to his dismay, George Giurcă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 14 minutes, Eric Pârlea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C.BARLAD and the FC ciufulici players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes F.C.BARLAD got a freekick which was hit by Eric Pârlea. After a rather tough play, FC ciufulici's Edgar Comarnescu got a free kick in the 17th minute. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, George Giurcă took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Niculae Isvoreanu to make any attempt to save it. Teodor Covaci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Niculae Isvoreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dacian Oravițan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Codruț, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. FC ciufulici's Dacian Oravițan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Codruț in the 33rd minute of play. F.C.BARLAD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ştefan Bara in the 34th minute. A collision led to FC ciufulici getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. George Giurcă hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Niculae Isvoreanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. FC ciufulici were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
