Christo Thaumüller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Bak in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's Gabriel Ostertag sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Till Geppert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christo Thaumüller came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Hannover Reds's Immanuel Baumann. But to his dismay, Immanuel Baumann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 21 minutes into the game, Hannover Reds's Jon Bak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christo Thaumüller made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 26th match minute, Alemannia Aachen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaspar Ronge to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Dominik Klemt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christo Thaumüller was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Immanuel Baumann scored 1-4 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christo Thaumüller, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christo Thaumüller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paavo Burgdorf in the 35th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hannover Reds's Till Geppert got control of the ball when Gabriel Ostertag tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Immanuel Baumann in the 39th minute of play forced Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Christo Thaumüller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hannover Reds booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaspar Ronge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathieu Freudenberger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christo Thaumüller having to make a save. Till Geppert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Unger, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Victor Ritter came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Alemannia Aachen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Ritter couldn't finish the play.
