Olav Westad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olav Westad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalmer Laanemaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olav Westad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olari Mõniste went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the match, Sagene IF's goal looked a bit too open when Olari Mõniste came free, but Olav Westad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sagene IF's Olav Westad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olari Mõniste in the 23rd minute of play. Olav Westad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kalmer Laanemaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Christer Kinn kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Sagene IF got a freekick which was hit by Christer Kinn. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Kalmer Laanemaa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kogimyae JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kalmer Laanemaa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olav Westad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kalmer Laanemaa in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olav Westad saved Sagene IF from getting behind. When Kogimyae JK's Samuel Ütt in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sagene IF's goalie prevented a goal. Christer Kinn charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christer Kinn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christer Kinn hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Olav Westad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalmer Laanemaa in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Sagene IF's goal looked a bit too open when Olari Mõniste came free, but Olav Westad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes Kogimyae JK got a freekick which was hit by Alex Halman. With a little luck, Kogimyae JK's Hubert Kalinin got control of the ball when Rune Le tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kjell Ekeli to strike the kick off in the second half. Alex Halman charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Halman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st minute, one of Kogimyae JK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kogimyae JK. In the 54th minute, Eric Ree ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hubert Kalinin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Alex Halman hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, Kogimyae JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Halman to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Olari Mõniste put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Olav Westad. If Kalmer Laanemaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Taavi Ööbik scored 1-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olav Westad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olav Westad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kalmer Laanemaa's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Olav Westad made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Taavi Ööbik sent off a good shot on target. Sagene IF's Olav Westad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Sagene IF from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute of the match, Kalmer Laanemaa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Olav Westad saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 86 minutes into the game, Kalmer Laanemaa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Olav Westad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olav Westad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olari Mõniste in the 98th minute of play. When the match was over Kogimyae JK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sagene IF throughout the match.
