Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) In the 6th minute, Sorci Viola's Franco Bosso seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Franco Bosso the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sorci Viola protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Franco Bosso had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 5th minute, one of Sorci Viola:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sorci Viola. When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, Calenzano's Enrico Di Gennaro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cesare Simone. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Cesare Simone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Calenzano's Amos Walcher suffered a sore knee after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Calenzano made a substitution. Fabiano Biscotti replaced Amos Walcher. The supporters of Calenzano booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Petrosino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franco Del Prete kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The Calenzano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anfilogino Maietta should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the match, Beppe Zoff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anfilogino Maietta. Calenzano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beppe Zoff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 32 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Toninelli. Anfilogino Maietta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beppe Zoff in the 37th minute of the match. When Arturo Liberti came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Sorci Viola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Liberti couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Calenzano getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Carmine Cimino hit a great ball. Arturo Liberti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Enrico Di Gennaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesare Simone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. When Carmine Cimino fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calenzano's protests and gave Carmine Cimino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sorci Viola booed when Calenzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Cimino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute of the match Flavio Scatena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anfilogino Maietta skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrico Di Gennaro in the 61st minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Cesare Simone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sorci Viola getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Amerigo Toninelli hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Renzi came free, but Cesare Simone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Amerigo Toninelli dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anfilogino Maietta, 1-3. Beppe Zoff might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anfilogino Maietta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beppe Zoff ran back to his position shaking his head. Beppe Zoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Maietta having to interfere. Cesare Simone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Renzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sorci Viola getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Edmondo Bertini hit a great ball. A collision led to Calenzano getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Fabiano Biscotti hit a great ball. Sorci Viola's Arturo Liberti got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sorci Viola's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
