A collision led to ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Theocharis Aggellakis hit a great ball. When ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's Thodoris Negris in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 31 minutes, Odysseas Portoulidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ΟΦΗ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Odysseas Portoulidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 played minutes ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ got a freekick which was hit by Paschalis Papafotiou. Simos Vasilakopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achilleas Mavilis having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's zone, Soulis Orfanos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achilleas Mavilis came out of the goal and Soulis Orfanos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
In the 52nd match minute, ΟΦΗ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odysseas Portoulidis to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Theofilos Kaplanopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marinos Vourousis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Theofilos Kaplanopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marinos Vourousis was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Ntinos Tsalikis kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. ΟΦΗ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
