Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Didier Van Gorp kicked off to start the match. Gregorie Allaert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Hungarian Olympic's Bálint Hellinger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Hungarian Olympic from getting a goal against them. Genk's Wilfried Boumans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flórián Dobó in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Csaba Tisza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungarian Olympic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Flórián Dobó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The supporters of Genk booed when Hungarian Olympic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flórián Dobó didn't get a good kick on the ball. Krisztián Veress charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Krisztián Veress the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 38 minutes into the game, one of Hungarian Olympic:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bálint Hellinger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredrik Creemers in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Hungarian Olympic getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Csaba Joó hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didier Van Gorp in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bálint Hellinger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Genk booed when Hungarian Olympic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Csaba Tisza didn't get a good kick on the ball. András Takács sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Csaba Tisza to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute Fredrik Creemers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bálint Hellinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungarian Olympic's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Matthias Bernaerts was slow to take the kick. During this time Genk's players had a chance to rest.
