Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Karl Laureys successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Greg Van Goolen hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Fedor Hauser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Laureys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Laureys stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fedor Hauser's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Trüssel came free, but Karl Laureys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Klaus De Bougne hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fedor Hauser made a kick off. Karl Laureys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans-Ruedi Sauerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Hans-Ruedi Sauerberg made a great header on Ämmer Sportfreaks's corner, it was just that FC Ouagadougou National's Karl Laureys managed to reach the ball for a save. Karl Laureys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedor Hauser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Ouagadougou National's Karl Laureys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedor Hauser in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, Ämmer Sportfreaks's Roman Mehrtens got control of the ball when Chris-George Elssen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ämmer Sportfreaks booed when FC Ouagadougou National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Imbreghts didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Fedor Hauser cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Karl Laureys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Till Bürli in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Karl Laureys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes FC Ouagadougou National got a freekick which was hit by Noel Imbreghts. If Hans-Ruedi Sauerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedor Hauser in the 81st minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Karl Laureys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Till Bürli might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl Laureys. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Till Bürli ran back to his position shaking his head. Karl Laureys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Ruedi Sauerberg in the 88th minute of play. If Danny Trüssel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ämmer Sportfreaks walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
