Maurício Braga's late challenge caught a Nitra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurício Braga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Nitra FC booed when Haridades F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nando Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bebeto Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Chaves in the 27th minute of play. Bebeto Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheus Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Castro in the 32nd minute of play forced Haridades F.C's goalkeeper Bebeto Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nando Pinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bebeto Cardoso having to make a save. Matheus Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedrinho Castro struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Bebeto Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Marcel Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nitra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bebeto Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giovanni Corrêa in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cauã Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When Matheus Pitta came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Nitra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus Pitta couldn't finish the play. Pedrinho Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Cardoso having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrinho Castro got free with Bebeto Cardoso in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Matheus Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 64 played minutes Haridades F.C got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Moreno. Pedrinho Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nando Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Cardoso made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Nando Pinho sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Pedrinho Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto Cardoso was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Nitra FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
